Brandon Ingram Swishes His Way into a Laker’s Uniform
In the wake of one of the most blockbuster trades in free agent history, No. 2 overall draft pick Brandon Ingram was officially put on a Laker’s uniform on Monday.
Ingram was drafted by the Lakers last month from Duke University where he played just one season under coach Mike Krzyzewski. Sources from around the NBA say Ingram would be a great fit for the Lakers as they try to rebuild their team and the trust of many Laker loyalists.
Ingram averaged just over 17 PPG and 40 percent from three-point line just last year with Duke. Ingram will provide much needed help from beyond the arc this upcoming season.
The Lakers just signed free agents Timofey Mozgov and Loul Deng this offseason, adding a much needed boost to their defensive capabilities.
Ingram was also introduced with the No. 32 overall pick in Ivica Zubac. Zubac was one of the many international players taken in this year’s draft.
